Sewn Baby Toys

Hi friends!

As I've posted before, it is BABY SEASON! I have yet another baby shower this month and I wanted to make something with my sewing machine. So, as I am no expert, I wanted to start with something fairly small. I made these baby toys from a pattern I found HERE

They came together fairly quickly- about 4 hours start to finish for the 2 of them. I'm sure a more expert sewer (seamstress?) would have been much quicker. But, I'm still pretty happy with the results! My only complaint is that the cheap stuffing I used is lumpy :(

But they're darn cute and I love the patterns!!!

Patchwork Birthday Card

Hi All!

Today I made a patchwork birthday card to play along with Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #159- No-sew quilted cards. I used scratch papers that were from the same pack a while back - sorry I don't have the name. I cut out four patterns in 1" squares, layed out my pattern, took a picture of it, then glued it all down. I used the hexagon die plate to make my background "quilted" pattern on top of the glued down background. Even though it is "quilted", I think that the color scheme is more masculine and I might be able to give it to a male. But, I'll run that by my hubby first :)

Card Round-up

Hi all!
Today I have a bunch of cards that I've made over the last year that I haven't gotten on the blog. Sorry, I'm not going to put the supplies for each as it's taken me too long to just get the pictures up! Several of these were made to play along with PTI's Make it Monday's and some were just occasion cards. I also made a ton of mini cards for my mom.

Mr. and Mrs. card

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a wedding card and envelope to share! As this wedding is requesting money over gifts, I don't get to be at all creative with gift wrapping, so I decorated the envelope instead.

For the card, I created a graphic "and" design to the background. The sentiment is hard to see in the image, but it is fairly glittery in person so it is easy to read. I also added some other details that may be hard to see too: glossy accents to three of the background hearts and glitter to the raised hearts around the sentiment.

On the envelope, I added strips of glitter paper on the front. On the flap, I used an embossing folder along the edge and a sentiment.
