Today I have a card that I made from complete scratch that turned into my ALL TIME FAVORITE CARD!!!! I was not really planning on participating in the Make it Monday challenge, but I found myself in need of a sympathy card. I took their advice and made it classy, but cheerfully colored.
Watch Me Wednesday video at Ashley Newell's blog to create my own background paper and it was a GREAT experience!!! She also used seam binding that she colored herself with spray and ink. I tried to do the same, but I found that it did NOT work as well for me- but I was pleased with the final result anyway. I don't know if there are different varieties of seam binding, but I'm guessing there are because her's did not have a seam and mine did. I spritzed it with water, dabbed it in a brown and an orange ink, and scrunched it up in my hands. It created a fabulous bow!
I also made up a digital scrapbook page with the free downloads from the Shabby Princess website.
Well, THANKS for checkin' out my favoritest card ever- and, yes, I do know that that is not a real word, but this card somehow makes me a little giddy.
