Today I have a CAS-ual Friday challenge card along with the CR84FN colors challenge. The CAS (clean and simple) challenge was to "Get Edgy" and use border edges in our projects. The CR84FN colors were aqua, green, and yellow--- Overall, a recipe for a wonderful card!!!
Layer 1- pastel yellow cut with the eyelet lace border die cut
Layer 2- aqua cut with a flower fusion die cut and then stamped with black in coordinating stamp (it is exactly centered on the card even though I just noticed that the picture makes it look uncentered)
Layer 3- more aqua 1/4" strips. This layer is the most difficult, but totally do-able! Simply fold the strips in half firmly. Then round both ends- away from the center fold. I used the metal handle of my Xacto knife to ensure even rounding. Add some liquid adhesive to the center of the lower layer and start placing the petals. The button on top helps to stabilize the petals. However, it is still pretty delicate and I would NOT trust it in the mail!
For the "grass" portion, I used a double sided green paper. I tore one long strip and used both sides. Here's the inspiration pics:
