Catch Up Time- Again

Hi All!

I appear to have gotten into a bad habit of creating cards for various challenges and then not loading them onto the computer. Consequently, here are a lot of cards that I've made over the last couple of weeks.

This last one is actually a new make for the PTI Make It Monday #39- stamped backgrounds. However, the second to last one could also be used in the challenge! I love making my own background papers! It lets me match my colors exactly and I get to decide the positioning of the images!

Thanks for checkin' these out!

Make It Monday #39- Stamped Backgrounds

Hi All!

Today's card is for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #39, which is featuring backgrounds made from multiple stamps.
It is a fall colored card that is completely flat and mailable. To create the background, I started with the circle pattern then added the flowers, the leaves, and then the smallest flower shape. The sentiment paper started as white, but I shaded it with Antique Linen distress ink. I used the same distress ink in the pattern to make it match.
Thanks for checkin' it out!

Embossed Numbers Birthday Card

Hi All!

Today's card is a birthday card. I think that it could be given to a man or a woman, adult or child. How versatile, eh?

I love the look of the back ground number paper. It started out as a piece of white paper! I added ink to the flatter side of an embossing folder and when I ran it through the Cuttlebug, the ink transferred to the paper. I love the somewhat distressed "solid" it created.

Steps:
1. Cut and fold yellow paper to 4.25" x 5.5".
2. Cut white paper to 4" x 5.25", ink embossing folder and run through machine. Adhere it to center of card.
3. Die cut mat stack 3 in yellow. Stamp mat stack 3 on white, fussy cut design, adhere together and then to lower half of card.
4. Cut green piece of paper, tie ribbon around, adhere to card.
5. Die cut star, stamp, and tie to ribbon with twine and button. Stamp sentiment.

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Supplies
Paper: yellow card stock, white card stock; Prima- breathe collection
Stamps: Papertrey Ink- tiny tags, mat stack 3, communique curves sentiments
Ink: Papertrey Ink- ripe avocado, berry sorbet
Other: Papertrey Ink dies- tiny tags, mat stack 3; button, twine; Cuttlebug and folder Number Collage

Have Faith

Hi All!

The card I have to share today is featuring the new Papertrey Ink stamp sets that I got recently: mat stack 3 and beautiful blessings. I do mean new to me, not new to Papertrey Ink! Haha!

I used Kraft card stock to make the card and some of the elements. The other pieces are cut from white and distressed with Vintage Photo. I used the ends of the mat stack 3 die cut to form one of the layers of the central image.

Steps:
1. Cut and fold card stock to 4" x 5.5", adhere eyelet lace die cuts, die cut top and bottom edges.
2. Stamp, distress, and adhere central images.
3. Stamp blue images above and below center.
4. Distress edges

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Our New Baby

Hi All!

This has been a very busy couple of weeks! Last week we heard back from a short sale and entered escrow! The house is so fabulous! Since we've already gotten the appraisal out of the way, we feel fairly certain that as of November 17th, my fiance and I will be home owners! SO- we got a puppy!

Justin wanted to name him Growly and I wanted to name him Copper, so we compromised on Snikers. I came up with the name; he came up with the spelling. ;)

He is now 10 weeks old and so adorable! We were told that he is a mix of basset hound and terrier, but I don't think that he looks at ALL like a basset hound! He is a little longer than tall, but he also has pretty large paws. He is just too cute!

We are so excited to have our first baby! The yard at our new house is almost a quarter acre- which is a good size for southern California and a perfect size for our new pup and my chocolate lab Chessey.

I feel so absolutely blessed!

Catch Up Time

Hi All!

I have a couple of cards that I made over the last week to share. The first is another birthday card for my cousin's first birthday that I made for my parents to give. The other one is an anniversary card for my brother and his wife. This one started over a month ago, but it didn't get finished until yesterday!

I stamped the background with my banner stamp from My Little Shoebox. It is a very dimensional card! Each layer in the center is on dimensional adhesive as well as the sentiment "banners".  I didn't have a number stamp large enough for the center, so I cut it out with my Cricut.

And now the anniversary card:

I made the background pattern out of the mat stack 2 stamps. The doilies started out white, but I inked it with the Colorbox Sunflower ink pad. It is actually one whole doily that I cut into multiple pieces.

I first stamped the center image directly onto the hot pink paper, but it just didn't look finished. So, I added the white piece and voila!

Thanks for checkin' them out!!!
