Just Because

Hi All!

Here's a quick card I made a while back:
I used the various stamps from Papertrey Ink's Delightful Doilies set. I have a hard time completing the outside ring because it's a quarter of a circle that you have to line up. This is definitely the best one I've created so far.

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Stamps: PTI- delightful doilies, damask designs
Ink: PTI- true black, berry sorbet; VersaMagic- purple hydrangea

High Five for Friday

Hi All!

Happy Friday!!!  This week I have several things to be happy for- I hope you do too! I'm linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk today.

1. I'm on vacation! I took a few days off before we actually leave so I could get off of night shift before we leave for Gatlinburg, Tennessee! I am hoping to see some sights like these:
We don't get any ANY fall colors here in So. Cal. and my family has never been able to take a fall vacation before since my mom's a teacher. AND- it's my husbands' and my first solo trip together!

2. Cooler weather has finally arrived! I bought a few new sweaters at Ross yesterday while it was raining cats and dogs :)

3. My toe nails are painted a brilliant red! My go to color is OPI- Keys to My Karma which you can check out here.

4. We booked another Miche party for the week after we get back and I got all the pre-arrangements completed yesterday and don't feel at all stressed about it!

5. And most significantly- I got the AMAZING NEWS from my director on Monday that I will be able to go to day shift on the next schedule! I am so beyond excited!!! I had told them that I wouldn't be able to last much longer since I've been basically falling apart and they said "ok, you're next"! Thank you Jesus!!!

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great weekend!

Distresed Thank You

Hi All!

Today I have a card to share with you that my husband says is his favorite :) He loves anything distressed, and this one definitely is!

This started as white cardstock that I used the vintage photo ink on. I also added the same ink to the Kraft cardstock that the sentiment is one so the hues would coordinate. It doesn't show well in the photo, but the brown and green inks have a bit of a shimmer to them. When I started distressing it, the shimmer moved around quite a bit.

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Paper: white card stock, Kraft scrap
Stamps: PTI- Damask Designs, Mat Stack 1
Ink: PTI- true black; Tim Holtz Distress Ink- vintage photo; Brilliance- coffee bean, pearlescent ivy
Other: scrap of trim

Just a Little Note

Hi All!

I made this card a while back for an August PTI Make It Monday called Stamping and Stitching. I hand stitched the heart shaped steam above the coffee cup. It really didn't take much time and it sure adds a lot to the card!

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Baby Birthday Card

Hi All!

I needed a card for my coworker's daughter's first birthday and since I am in love with the Happy Hexagon stamp set, I used it again! I literally took the card out of the present to take the picture- in the parking lot of the party place.. But glad I remembered because there have been a few lately that I made and gave before I took a pic.

I used the extra stamped happy hexagon dies that were left over from yesterdays card.
Thanks for checkin' it out!

Happy Hexagons

Hi All!

I recently got the Happy Hexagons stamp set by Papertrey Ink and I LOVE it! My first day I made these two cards:

I also got the happy hexagon die plate and I started out stamping this using it. However, after I got the first two rows done I found it was easier to continue the pattern without it- too hard to line it up after each stamp and I couldn't find my removable adhesive roller. I love the brightness of this card :)

For the last card, I used the die cut hexagons as "fabric" for "quilting". I stamped them with the dotted edges to look sewn. I stamped double the amount I used on the card because I wasn't sure how many I would use- so those are saved for another card!

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Miche Purses

Hi All!

Today I want to share with you something different: Miche! My husband and I recently joined the Miche company as Independent Representatives. Miche is an awsome company that creates unique purses: four different base sizes with a huge amount of changeable outer shells! Basically, you get to design your perfect purse! From the size to the color to the handles- you can choose exactly what suites you the best!

It is set up as a party plan- like Mary Kay or Scentsy (etc.)- where we can sell out of our catalogs, at a party, or on our website:

No matter the size, the outer decorative shells are held on by magnets. They are easy to change, but strong enough to ensure that the shells are held in place all day. There are a variety of prices- ranging from $14.95 to $94.95.

One of the best parts: people who host parties for us get AMAZING incentives! The more that is sold at the party, the higher the rewards! For example, if $500 of product is sold, the hostess gets $60 of FREE product plus 2 half price shells plus 25% off of anything else she wants to get! And- the more that's sold, the higher those numbers go!

Every 3 months Miche comes out with a new seasonal catalog. On August 1st, these shells came out- to compliment the year-round stylish shells:
We are so excited about starting this new business! The other Miche reps are awesome and so welcoming! I really needed something to offset the awfulness of working nights and this is my solution. We can arrange everything to our schedules and set our own pace.  If you have any questions be sure and let me know!

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Back Again

Hi All!

Contrary to popular belief, I have been making some cards when I have time- I just haven't gotten them online. I'm going to post them a couple at a time over the next few weeks or so. So here's today's:

This day I was feeling very inspired by pink and green: specifically Papertrey Ink's colors berry sorbet and ripe avocado.

The top card is made from two pieces of paper cut from the same die. On the white back piece, I scored a straight line about a half inch from the top, folded it, then glued it to the back of the front piece. It was easy to line up because I used liquid adhesive so I could shift it a bit once the papers were touching.

Thanks for checking it out!

Paper: all from the scrap bin
Stamps: PTI- rosie posey, take three, and mat stack 3
Ink: berry sorbet, ripe avocado, true black
Other: Nestabilities die, PTI rose posey die, rhinestone

Paper: white base, green scraps
Stamps: PTI- rosie posey, damask designs
Ink: PTI- berry sorbet; Studio G yellow
Other: PTI edgers #1 die; white gel pen
